How to check if your ballot was recorded in Texas
With reports of ballot boxes being burned in parts of the United States and years-long conversations around election security, anxiety is on the rise for voters wondering whether their ballot has been counted. Lucky for Texas voters, there is a way for registered voters to double check whether their ballot has been properly recorded.
The Texas Secretary of State maintains a website and provides daily updates on voter registration numbers, voting totals, and also to see who has cast their ballot. The data does not show the party or candidates that were voted for. The only caveat is the data is available the day after the ballot was cast.
The database records the name, voting precinct and voting method, i.e. whether the ballot was cast in-person or via mail-in ballot. The website offers data for all of Texas’ 254 counties.

Registered voters who voted by mail can also track individual mail-in ballots status via a different Texas Secretary of State website.
