A deadly crash has shut down an entire stretch of Loop 410 leading to severe traffic congestion. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the crash happened just after 1 p.m. on Friday, November 22 on Loop 410 at Ray Ellison Drive. The crash has impacted the northbound lanes of Loop 410.
Images from Transguide show no vehicles are being allowed to drive on Loop 410 South. TxDOT reports that Loop 410 on both North and South at Old Pearsall Road are closed. Drivers are urged to use an alternative route.
It’s unclear how many vehicles are involved in the wreck but Transguide images show what appears to be a large cargo truck in the grassy median. San Antonio police tell MySA the crash was fatal but did not specify how many people were killed. News 4 San Antonio reports at least one person died.
